Aston Villa preview: Jackson double sinks City

Villa's last Premier League game was a superb 2-1 home win over Man City in which they broke the league leaders' 100% start to the Premier League season. In-form Nicolas Jackson struck twice for the hosts as Unai Emery continues to work his magic.

Midweek was less kind, with Villa losing 3-0 at Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup after Emery made nine changes, but that competition was certainly not their chief focus.

Fulham preview: Bobb strikes late at Coventry

Fulham's last Premier League game was a vital 1-0 win at Coventry, with Oscar Bobb scoring a fine late goal. It was a second successive 1-0 league win with a clean sheet, following the victory at home to Hull, so the pressure has eased somewhat on Alvaro Arbeloa's shoulders.

The Cottagers then lost 1-0 at home to Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup, with Eddie Nketiah's goal late in the first half settling the tie.

Fulham have won back-to-back league games 1-0 with clean sheets, but those were against promoted sides in what was a somewhat fortunate fixture run for under-fire coach Arbeloa.
