Reading remain in the hunt for a top six spot and a playoff place as the Royals now welcome relegation battling Wigan Athletic to Berkshire on Saturday.

Reading vs Wigan prediction

Reading begin the match day sitting eighth in the table and just two points off sixth placed Stevenage. A 1-0 defeat to Stevenage last week, though, means they have now won just one of their last four matches in League One.

Wigan have been much-improved since the appointment of returning boss Gary Caldwell and he led Latics to a comfortable 2-0 defeat of his former side Exeter City at the Brick Community Stadium in Lancashire last weekend, in their most recent outing.

The visitors have lost just two in eight matches since an FA Cup fourth round defeat to Arsenal and siding with them here against stumbling Reading may well be a good value bet.

Reading vs Wigan tip: Double chance - Wigan to win or draw
