Raphael Collignon overcame Valentin Vacherot in a tight match to progress to the semi-finals of the Swiss Open. The Belgian edged clear in the first set after winning a close tiebreak, but Vacherot hit back in the second to draw level. Collignon crucially broke towards the end of the match to win 7-6 (7) 4-6 7-5.
He will face Juan Manuel Cerundolo. The Argentine continued his impressive season as he came from a set and a break down to beat second seed and two-time winner Casper Ruud in the last eight. Ruud was on course for victory after winning the first set and going 4-2 up in the second, but Cerundolo won five of the next six games to turn the match on its head. He broke two more times in the third to complete the comeback, winning 3-6 7-5 6-2.
