The big news following the release of Jorge Jesus’ first Portugal squad is the inclusion of 41-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo, as the country’s record goalscorer continues on his march to 1000 goals in all professional football. He is the headline of what is a stacked group of players who should dominate proceedings against Wales, who are very much in transition under Craig Bellamy and likely still hurting after not reaching the FIFA World Cup.

Wales will need to do a lot of defending over the course of 90 minutes here and whilst Portugal will need to be patient, you would expect them to carve out plenty of opportunities against what is ultimately a weak Welsh side.
