Peru vs Ecuador prediction

Peru are coming off a goalless draw with Colombia which on the face of it is a good result but that cannot hide what has been a relatively poor qualifying campaign on the whole.

They have managed just two wins in their 15 matches so far which is no surprise given the fact that they have only scored six goals in total across the qualifying phase. They have managed just one goal in their last six matches and that does not bode well for this match against a well-organised Ecuador team.

The visitors come off a good display against Brazil where they were the better team for long spells of that match. They looked incredibly solid defensively and they extended their unbeaten run to eight matches.

During that run, they have conceded just one goal and that combined with Peru’s poor goalscoring record, is not a good recipe for the home side. Ecuador are content to keep things tight and edge their way to qualification which is almost assured and they will keep their tally ticking here by picking up at least a point.

Peru vs Ecuador tip: Ecuador draw no bet
