Paris preview: Improved Parisians

Paris come into this one on the back of a much-improved month, pushing into mid-table in the French top-flight, or so since the appointment of former Nantes and Paris Saint-Germain manager Antoine Kombouare.

The Parisians shared a 1-1 draw with Lorient in their most recent outing, last weekend, extending their unbeaten run of form to six matches since the appointment of Kombouare.

Monaco preview: Impressive Monegasque

It was a tough start to the Sebastian Pocognoli era but Monaco have become much stronger once again as they fight to get back into the fight for UEFA Champions League qualification once again.

The Monegasque produced another strong performance to defeat Olympique de Marseille by two goals to one at Stade Louis last week, courtesy of goals from Aleksandr Golovin and Folarin Balogun.

Paris team news: Attacking absentees

Paris are dealing with a couple of attacking absentees for this weekend as Jean-Philippe Krasso is now sidelined alongside longer-term injury issue Pierre-Yves Hamel.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Trapp; Camara, Coppola, Mbow, Sangui; Munetsi, Lees-Melou, Lopez; Ikone, Geubbels, Simon

Unavailable: Krasso (Injured), Hamel (Injured)

Monaco team news: Several injuries

Monaco head to the capital city with plenty of key injury issues as Russia international attacking midfielder Aleksandr Golovin is now sidelined alongside the likes of Kassoum Ouattara and Takumi Minamino.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Hradecky; Kehrer, Zakaria, Faes; Teze, Camara, Coulibaly, Mawissa; Akliouche, Adingra; Balogun

Unavailable: Salisu (Injured), Ouattara (Injured), Caio Henrique (Injured), Vanderson (Injured), Minamino (Injured), Golovin (Injured)

Paris vs Monaco prediction

Monaco have now enjoyed an impressive run of form with a seven-match winning streak, including three of their last four wins being against Marseille, Olympique Lyonnais and Paris Saint-Germain. They travel to the capital city to face a Paris side that are obdurate at the moment and so it may well be a lower scoring affair and a little less interesting for the neutral but Monaco have to remain firm favourites for this one at Stade Jean-Bouin.
