Paris preview: Wealthy Parisiens

Having spent heavily over the summer, Paris FC have put in some competitive performances in their opening couple of matches, but thee enormously wealthy newly-promoted Parisiens have started with back-to-back losses.

After a 1-0 defeat to Angers at Stade Raymond Kopa on the opening day, Paris then suffered a 5-2 defeat to Olympique de Marseille at Stade Velodrome in an entertaining clash down on the south coast of France last weekend.

Metz preview: Struggling Metz

Metz were always expected to be among the teams that would struggle this season and it has been a tough start with a tough fixture list that has seen back-to-back losses without scoring for the visitors so far this season.

In their opening game of the campaign, Metz suffered a 1-0 loss at home to Strasbourg at Stade Saint-Symphorien due to a late Joaquin Panichelli winner, before they then suffered a 3-0 hammering at the hands of Olympique Lyonnais at Parc OL.

Paris team news: Fully fit

Ahead of making the trip to the French capital city this weekend, Paris have a fully fit and available squad so they would be able to name an unchanged eleven if they so choose.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Nkambadio; Chergui, Mbow, Otavio, Sangui; Lopez, Marchetti, Camara; Kebbal, Geubbels, Simon

Unavailable:

Questionable:

Metz team news: A few issues

Centre-back Sadibou Sane is being linked with a move to Burnley, and his fellow defender is an injury absentee for this weekend after Urie-Michel Mboula suffered a hamstring injury.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Fischer; Kouao, Sane, Gbamin, Colin; Stambouli, Traore; Tsitaishvili, Hein, Abuashvili; Madjo

Unavailable: Mboula (Injured), Mangondo (Injured), Mbaye (Injured)

Questionable: Deminguet (Injured), Sabaly (Injured)

Paris vs Metz prediction

Paris are expected to kick on more than just being involved in the relegation battle. As a newly-promoted side, they may have to adjust expectations to ensure that they are just a top-flight club for next season, but the money spent on Otavio, for example, is a sign of ambition. Metz head to the capital city with little quality in attack and now issues at the back, so siding with Parisiens with their home advantage would appear a good bet for this one.
