The world number 115 will now face fifth seed Panna Udvardy after the Hungarian downed Katarzyna Kawa 1-6 7-5 6-2.

World number 71, Udvardy will represent a serious challenge for Badosa on clay and given how the previous round went, we feel it may be a bridge too far for the former world number two given the number of matches she has played recently in her winning run.

The Spaniard will battle, however, and it’s a good shout to go three.
