Oxford vs Sunderland prediction

Having replaced Gary Rowett with Matt Bloomfield, Oxford United sit firmly in the bottom three and the relegation places and now four points adrift of safety with just six victories in their 32 matches. Their most recent outing saw them hammered 3-0 by Norwich City the other day.

Sunderland have achieved safety in the Premier League, more or less, much quicker than they expected and, under the management of Regis Le Bris, may well be targeting a run deep into the FA Cup this season. They took the third round seriously and were eventually deserved victors, albeit on penalties, away to Everton last month.

Sunderland may rotate but their heavy spending in the last six months means that they have very good depth and they should come out on top against poor opposition here.

Oxford vs Sunderland tip: Sunderland to win
