Oviedo preview: Tough start for Oviedo
Real Oviedo gained promotion to La Liga last season via the playoffs, having been knocking on the door for a while, and their summer has seen some unusual business with Eric Bailly, Ovie Ejaria and Salomon Rondon added the Asturians’ squad.
They have had a tough fixture list to deal with to kick off their campaign, with a 2-0 loss at El Madrigal against Villarreal on the opening day of the season, before they then suffered a 3-0 hammering at the hands of Real Madrid last weekend.
Real Sociedad preview: New era for La Real
Imanol Aguacil departed Real Sociedad after over half a decade in charge of his boyhood club, and is now in charge of Al Shabab, with La Real replacing him with another B team coach of the Basque giants, Sergio Francisco.
Real Sociedad started their new era with a 1-1 draw at Mestalla against Valencia on the opening day of the season, before they then shared an entertaining 2-2 draw against Espanyol at the Reale Arena in the Basque Country last weekend, after being 2-0 down.
