Both still reeling, and improving, from the reigns of Ange Postecoglou, Nottingham Forest now take on Tottenham Hotspur at the City Ground on Sunday afternoon.

Kick-off date/time:

How to watch on TV: UK – Sky Sports / USA – Not televised

How to watch online: UK – Sky Go / USA – Peacock

Nottingham Forest preview: Improved Forest

Sean Dyche’s Nottingham Forest come into this one on the back of a 2-1 win away at FC Utrecht in the league phase of the UEFA Europa League in midweek, courtesy of goals from attacking duo Arnaud Kalimuendo and Igor Jesus.

The hosts have now suffered just three defeats in 11 matches across all competitions, following the appointment of Dyche, but the hosts did suffer a 3-0 shellacking at the hands of Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium last weekend.

Tottenham preview: Slight improvement

Thomas Frank has been under immense pressure at Tottenham Hotspur but it has to be said that they have gradually improved post-Postecoglou, just a few points outside of the top four after they finished 17th in the Premier League last season.

Having rescued a point against Newcastle United before comfortably defeating Brentford by two goals to nil last week, Spurs most recently eased to a 3-0 hammering of Slavia Prague in the UEFA Champions League the other day.

Nottingham Forest team news: Sels a doubt

Following their midweek excursions to the Netherlands, no update was provided on goalkeeper Matz Sels, who remains a doubt having not been risked against Utrecht due to a groin injury.

The quartet of Murillo, Douglas Luiz, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Dilane Bakwa did all return to full fitness in that game, though, but Chris Wood remains a week or so away from getting back into action.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): John; Savona, Milenkovic, Murillo, Williams; Sangare, Anderson; Ndoye, Gibbs-White, Hudson-Odoi; Jesus

Unavailable: Gunn (Injured), Aina (Injured), Yates, (Injured), Wood (Injured), Awoniyi (Fitness)

Questionable: Sels (Injured)

Tottenham team news: Johnson should be fit

Having been unavailable in midweek, Wales international attacker Brennan Johnson trained on Friday and there is an expectation that he should be back to face his former club this weekend.

Ben Davies returned after his lengthy lay off the other day, while the likes of Radu Dragusin, James Maddison and Dominic Solanke remain longer-term absentees with Destiny Udogie also now sidelined.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Spence; Palhinha, Bentancur; Kudus, Simons, Richarlison; Kolo Muani

Unavailable: Dragusin (Fitness), Udogie (Injured), Bissouma (Injured), Kulusevski (Injured), Maddison (Injured), Solanke (Injured)

Questionable: Takai (Fitness), Johnson (Fitness)

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham prediction

Nottingham Forest begin the weekend sitting just outside of the bottom three and the relegation places. They have returned to their more rigid, counter-attacking style of football that was so successful under Nuno Espirito Santo. Tottenham head to the City Ground with a similar intention of perhaps focusing purely on set-pieces and avoiding external damage, such as fatigue and injury, for this one and a low-scoring encounter appears to be expected.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham tip: Under 2.5 goals
