Nikoloz Basilashvili began his Swedish Open campaign with a straight sets win over Jan Choinski in round one. Choinski had just picked up a title on the Challenger Tour in Braunschweig, but he struggled from the start as the Georgian won 6-4 7-6 (4) after one hour and 46 minutes.
