Nicolai Budkov Kjaer vs Andrea Pellegrino prediction
Nicolai Budkov Kjaer made his tour-level debut at the Swedish Open last year, and he returns for 2026. The youngster qualified for that event and then picked up his first ever ATP win after a victory over Thiago Monteiro. He went close to knocking out Sebastian Baez in the next round. Budkov Kjaer’s highlight so far this year was in Madrid, as he qualified for the tournament and defeated Denis Shapovalov in round two.
He will face Andrea Pellegrino. The Italian has found form on clay this season, highlighted by his fabulous run from qualifying to the round-of-16 in Rome. He would lose to world number one Jannik Sinner. However, he is yet to reach a final on the tour in 2026, despite competing in numerous Challenger events.
Budkov Kjaer has the more attacking game and may look to dictate a lot of the rallies, but Pellegrino is a tough opponent on clay.
