Nice earned themselves a much-needed and big win last weekend at Stade de la Beaujoire as the southerners now take on Stade Brest at the Allianz Riviera.

Kick-off date/time:

Nice preview: Nice needed a win

Nice come into this one on the back of a slender 1-0 loss to Bulgarian champions Ludogorets Razgrad in their final game of a woeful UEFA Europa League league phase whereby they managed just one victory with seven losses.

In Ligue 1, Nice were very much involved in a relegation battle before managing to produce a 4-1 annihilation of Nantes last weekend, out of nowhere, with a brace scored by Mohamed-Ali Cho as well as Sofiane Diop and Tom Louchet strikes.

Brest preview: Out of form Brest

Coached by former Sunderland player Eric Roy, Stade Brest begin the 20th match day of the 2025/26 Ligue 1 table sitting firmly in the middle-of-the-table with an impressive style of play that has produced 55 goals in their 19 games.

Brest do, though, come into this one on the back of a 2-0 loss at home to Toulouse at Stade Francis-le Ble as a result of strikes from Pape Diop and Yann Gboho, leaving them in the bottom-half of the table with three defeats in their last four matches.

Nice team news: Defensive issues

With key trio Mohamed Abdelmonem, Moise Bombito and Youssouf Ndayishimiye all missing through injury, Manchester City loanee Juma Bah is now missing through suspension for Nice, too.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Dupe; Clauss, Dante, Peprah Oppong, Abdi; Abdul Samed, Vanhoutte, Sanson; Diop, Wahi, Cho

Unavailable: Abdelmonem (Injured), Moise Bombito (Injured), Ndayishimiye (Injured), Juma Bah (Suspended)

Questionable: Bard (Injured), Boudaoui (Injured)

Brest team news: No Balde

There are no fresh injury concerns or suspension issues for Brest to deal with as they remain without versatile attacker Mama Balde, as well as left-back Bradley Locko.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Coudert; Lala, Chardonnet, Coulibaly, Guindo; Chotard, Magnetti; Lascary, Tousart, Doumbia; Ajorque

Unavailable: Balde (Injured)

Questionable: Locko (Injured)

Nice vs Brest prediction

Nice have been neglected by ownership group INEOS, who have publicly explained more or less a detest of French football and their priority being Manchester United. Franck Haise is a good coach, though, and can still get a tune out of a limited squad now and then. If a more proactive style is the way in which they will go, like last week, then both teams scoring seems a good bet for this one down on the south coast.

Nice vs Brest tip: Both teams to score
