Nadia Podoroska will be aiming for a first tour-level win of the season when she competes in Hamburg this week. Her last event was in Iasi, but she lost her opening match to Petra Marcinko. Furthermore, she has won two lower-level titles in 2026.
Her first-round opponent is Julia Stusek. The young German is just 18 years old, and she will be making her main draw debut on the WTA Tour. She did win a title in Klosters earlier in the season, while she also attempted to qualify for the Stuttgart Open back in April.
Podoroska has been able to pick up results this season, and her experience could prove key against Stusek.
