Many will argue but this is technically a Yorkshire derby as 100%-ers Middlesbrough welcome a pointless Sheffield United side to the Riverside in Teesside this weekend.

Rob Edwards’ Middlesbrough have been hammered 4-0 at home by Doncaster Rovers in the EFL Cup but, aside from that, the Smoggies have been magnificent in the Championship. They have won three from three to kick off the season, most recently defeating Norwich City by two goals to one at Carrow Road last week.
Ruben Selles’ Sheffield United also suffered an EFL Cup first round exit but, after they lost the playoff final under Chris Wilder last season, the Blades have endured a very difficult summer that has played into this season. Their 1-0 loss to Millwall at Bramall Lane last weekend kept them rooted to zero points now after three matches.
Streaks tend to be just that, and they end. However, this is a 100% record at home to a pointless and seemingly desperate team, so siding with ‘Boro appears the way to go.
