Saudi Arabia team news: Going with what they’ve got

Herve Renard has no injury issues to concern himself with in this Saudi Arabia squad. The Green Falcons did have to leave out some key players, though, such as Nawaf Al Dawsari and Salem Al Dawsari, due to their involvement in the FIFA Club World Cup.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Alaqidi; Ali Majrashi, Alamri, Madu, Abdulhamid; Aljohani, Ali, Yahya; Al Buraikan, Al Shehri, Al Obod

Mexico vs Saudi Arabia prediction

Under the management of former Real Mallorca boss Javier Aguirre, the Mexicans have been improving in the last few months ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup next summer. El Tri collected seven points from their three group stage matches with victories against the Dominican Republic and Suriname before a goalless draw with Costa Rica.

They now face a Saudi Arabian side that have former boss Herve Renard back in charge after his stint with the France women’s team. The Saudi Arabians squeezed past Haiti in their opener before a defeat to the United States. They edged through as runners’ up in Group D with a 1-1 draw against Trinidad and Tobago.

Mexico will fancy their chances of taking the game to Saudi Arabia with a fair bit of attacking cohesion at the moment and they are firm favourites to make the semi-finals.
