Mayar Sherif vs Tamara Korpatsch prediction
Mayar Sherif extended her winning run to 13 matches as she defeated Paula Badosa for the second time in four days to progress to the semi-finals of the Hamburg Open. These two faced off in the final of the Iasi Open earlier this week, with Badosa retiring in the second set. This match went the distance, with Sherif winning 7-6 (4) 6-7 (2) 6-4 after three hours and 26 minutes. This was the seventh longest WTA main draw match of 2026 so far.
She will now face Tamara Korpatsch, as the Egyptian aims for a fourth final out of her last five events. Korpatsch notched up a fine win in the previous round as she beat second seed Anhelina Kalinina in three sets. The German overcame a slump in the second set to dominate the decider, winning 6-3 1-6 6-1.
Korpatsch does lead the overall head-to-head 2-1, but Sherif has been one of the most in-form players on the tour in recent weeks.
