It has been a disappointing 18 months or so for Malmo as the Swedish giants now take on the dominant force in Serbian football, Crvena Zvezda, this midweek.

Malmo vs Crvena Zvezda prediction

Malmo majorly underperformed in the 2025 Swedish Allsvenskan campaign as they finished sixth and missed out on European qualification. The home team have struggled in the UEFA Europa League, too, with just one point collected from six matches as they sit down at the bottom end of the 36-team table.

Crvena Zvezda, on the other hand, sit tucked inside the middle-of-the-table as they hover just three points outside of the top eight with two games to go. The Serbian champions have enjoyed three successive victories in this competition and haven’t played, like Malmo, since 2025 due to the winter break.

Crvena Zvezda, also known as Red Star Belgrade, aren’t necessarily a force in this competition but they are a lot better than Malmo and should win this one.
