Key Stats

  • Mali have lost only three of their last 20 World Cup qualifying matches (W9 D8).
  • Mali have kept 15 clean sheets in their last 20 World Cup qualifying matches.
  • Madagascar have won six of their last eight World Cup qualifying matches (D1 L1). They have won three in a row for the first time.

Mali vs Madagascar Prediction

Mali have enjoyed four victories with three draws and two defeats in their nine qualifying matches thus far. The Malians come into this one on the back of having eased past Chad by two goals to nil the other day, courtesy of a brace scored by Stade Brest attacker Kamory Doumbia.

Madagascar have been able to take advantage of their underperformance, though, with the islanders sitting second and set to go into the playoffs to get into the intercontinental playoffs. They head into their final game of the campaign sitting three points behind Ghana with the Ghanaians having a far superior goal difference.

Mali will want to restore some pride and there is very little to play for in reality for the Madagascans so a comfortable Mali victory is to be expected for this one this week.
