Key Stats

  • Mali have lost only two of their last 17 World Cup qualifying matches (W7 D8).
  • Mali have kept 13 clean sheets in their last 17 World Cup qualifying matches.
  • Mali have not conceded a goal in their last three World Cup qualifying matches.
  • Comoros have won four of their previous six matches in the current World Cup qualifying campaign (L2).

Mali vs Comoros Prediction

In their six matches in Group I of CAF qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Mali have managed just two victories with three frustrating draws leaving them fourth, behind Madagascar in third and Ghana at the top. The team in second, and the biggest threat to the impressive Ghanaians, is Comoros, who are once again punching above their weight after improvement in the last few months.

Comoros’ most recent outing saw them edge past the weakest side in the group, Chad, by a goal to nil, back in the March international break, which came a few days after Mali had hammered them in the reverse fixture between these two.

That reverse fixture was played in the neutral venue of Morocco, but still showed the natural level of the two sides that Mali have underperformed, and will hope to again show.

Mali vs Comoros Tip: Mali to win
