Key Stats

  • Madagascar’s 3-0 loss against Ghana in their most recent World Cup qualifying match ended a run of four FWCQ matches without defeat (W3 D1).
  • Only one of Madagascar’s last 22 World Cup qualifying matches finished without a goal being scored.
  • Central African Republic have won only three of their previous 22 World Cup qualifying matches (D4 L15).

Madagascar vs Central African Republic Prediction

Ghana are improving and re-emerging as a force once again as they sit at the top of Group I, with five victories and a defeat. Comoros are also overperforming as they sit on 12 points, with the impressive Madagascar on ten, a point ahead of Mali. The Central African Republic have managed just one victory in their opening six qualifiers, whilst Chad sit rock-bottom without a point in their six qualifying matches.

Madagascar have an emerging squad themselves, and have a real chance of a playoff place in CAF qualification. They face a Central African Republic side that have been slowly declining since their improvement about a decade or so ago.

Madagascar will head into this one as the slight favourites, albeit they do not have home advantage, with this clash being played at the neutral venue of Casablanca in Morocco.

Madagascar vs Central African Republic Tip: Madagascar to win & under 3.5 goals
