In the first-leg of this UEFA Europa League third qualifying round tie, Israeli champions Maccabi Tel-Aviv defeated Maltese champions Hamrun Spartans by two goals to one at the Ta’ Qali National Stadium last week. Hamrun opened the scoring in the 71st minute via a N’dri Philippe Koffi, before Maccabi Tel-Aviv managed to turn the game on its head late on in Malta, courtesy of a 79th minute equaliser scored by Roy Revivo before a second-half stoppage-time winner scored by Elad Madmon.

This second-leg is being played in the neutral venue of the TSC Arena in Backa Topola in Serbia, as a result of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine.

Maccabi Tel-Aviv do not have their home advantage, but the Israeli champions are expected to come out on top after their come from behind first-leg victory last week.
