Luxembourg had been improving in the last half a decade or so but they have begun to regress again as they now take on a faltering and frustrated Germany side.

Key stats

  • Germany have won 28 of their last 30 World Cup qualifying matches (L2).
  • Germany have kept seven clean sheets in their last 11 World Cup qualifying matches.

Luxembourg vs Germany prediction

Luxembourg have suffered four defeats from four in Group A of UEFA qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with just one goal scored and ten conceded thus far. They most recently suffered a 2-0 defeat to Slovakia at Stadion Antona Malatinskeho due to goals from Adam Obert and Ivan Schranz.

They face a Germany side that, after beginning with a defeat to Slovakia, have since produced underwhelming and unconvincing victories home and away against Northern Ireland, as well as at home to ten-man Luxembourg. There is a bit of pressure growing on Julian Nagelsmann.

That said, they are edging themselves closer to qualification for next summer and they will be expected to ease to a victory at the Luxembourg Stadium.

Luxembourg vs Germany tip: Germany to win -2 handicap
