Arne Slot is under immense pressure at the moment with Liverpool now welcoming a European chasing Fulham side to Anfield on Saturday evening.

Liverpool preview: Under pressure Reds

Liverpool come into this one on the back of a comfortable 2-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the first-leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final at the Parc des Princes in midweek due to goals from Desire Doue and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

The Reds returned from the international break with a 4-0 annihilation at the hands of Manchester City in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup last weekend, meaning that they have won just two of their last eight matches across all competitions.

Fulham preview: Mid-table Cottagers

Fulham begin the match day sitting just a couple of points outside of the top eight and the European spots in the Premier League – and they could go two points behind currently fifth place Liverpool, occupying the final UEFA Champions League spot.

The Cottagers most recently managed to come from behind to comfortably defeat Burnley by three goals to one at Craven Cottage, courtesy of strikes from Joshua King, Harry Wilson and Raul Jimenez.

Liverpool team news: Isak back

Club-record signing Alexander Isak has endured an injury-hit debut campaign at Anfield but the Sweden international striker returned to action off the bench against Paris Saint-Germain in midweek.

Arne Slot has said he has concerns over both Joe Gomez and Jeremie Frimpong, while first-choice goalkeeper Alisson remains sidelined for the hosts.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Alisson; Szoboszlai, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Mac Allister, Gravenberch; Salah, Jones, Gakpo; Ekitike

Unavailable: Alisson (Injured), Leoni (Injured), Bradley (Injured), Endo (Injured), Bajcetic (Injured)

Questionable:

Fulham team news: No Tete or Kevin

Having equalised with a stunner in the reverse fixture, midfielder Harrison Reed is now sidelined for the Cottagers as the Englishman dealing with a knee injury.

Marco Silva has confirmed that all of his internationals have returned unscathed but right-back Kenny Tete is sidelined alongside club-record signing Kevin.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Leno; Diop, Andersen, Cuenca; Castagne, Berge, Iwobi, Robinson; Wilson, Smith Rowe; Jimenez

Unavailable: Tete (Injured), Reed (Injured), Kevin (Injured)

Questionable:

Liverpool vs Fulham prediction

There is an expectation that Arne Slot, despite winning the league in his debut season last year before a tragic summer as well as a remarkably busy transfer window, will depart Anfield this summer. Liverpool need to ensure they finish with a flourish but they are lacking any fluency in attack and much cohesion at the back so it may actually be a worthwhile and value bet to side with the Londoners for this one on Merseyside.

Liverpool vs Fulham tip: Double chance – Fulham to win or draw
