Linda Fruhvirtova vs Barbora Krejcikova prediction
Linda Fruhvirtova enters the main draw as a lucky loser, following her three set loss to Gao Xinyu in the final stage of qualifying. The Czech’s best result of the season so far was a quarter-final appearance at the Ostrava Open, but she currently has a negative win-loss record in 2026. This will be her first appearance in Prague since 2020.
She has a tough task in round one as she faces second seed Barbora Krejcikova. The two-time Grand Slam singles champion defeated Roland Garros winner Mirra Andreeva in her first-round match at Wimbledon, and she followed that up with two more wins to reach the round-of-16. However, she was then beaten by compatriot Karolina Muchova.
Krejcikova leads the head-to-head 2-0 and is yet to drop a set to Fruhvirtova across her two matches. This will be their first match against each other on a hard court, but Krejcikova remains the heavy favourite to win this one.
