Lille are one of the more entertaining teams to watch in Ligue 1 and the same can be said for Stade Rennais, who they now face at Stade Pierre-Mauroy in the north.

Lille vs Rennes prediction

Lille’s 16 Ligue 1 matches so far this season have consisted of 53 goals. The northerners went into the mid-season winter break on the back of four successive league wins being rounded off by a slender 1-0 victory against lower league outfit St Maur Lusitanos in the Coupe de France.

Bruno Genesio’s Stade Rennais have had 51 goals come in their 16 matches and they, too, are one of the better teams to watch in France’s top-flight. Rennes themselves won a cup tie before the break, backing up an impressive and comfortable 3-1 defeat of Stade Brest at Roazhon Park.

These are two of the more front foot and proactive teams in Ligue 1 and so both teams scoring would appear a good bet for this one up in the north of France.

Lille vs Rennes tip: Both teams to score
