Leicester City remain in the bottom three and the relegation places as the Foxes now welcome a Brentford side firmly ensconced in the middle of the table to the King Power Stadium.

Leicester Preview: Frustrated Foxes

Leicester City come into this one on the back of a hard-working defeat at home to title challenging Arsenal last weekend. The game was even for much of it before second-half substitute Mikel Merino notched a late brace for the Gunners to finish it up at 2-0.

Leicester gave themselves a chance of survival with a come from behind 2-1 defeat of Tottenham Hotspur last month but they haven’t managed to build on it. The gap hasn’t yet grown, though, as Wolverhampton Wanderers continue to stumble, too.

Brentford Preview: Bees want a run

Brentford started the season with some impressive home form and their away form failing to meet it but the Bees managed to get themselves a much-needed victory on the road as they defeated West Ham United at the London Stadium last weekend.

German forward Kevin Schade notched the only goal of the game in that London derby to maintain a belief that the west Londoners can get themselves into the top seven or eight in the Premier League and potential UEFA competition qualification.

Leicester Team News: Justin expected too be out

Ruud van Nistelrooy has confirmed that James Justin is not seriously injured after being forced off against Arsenal last weekend. He is still a major doubt for this week but his fellow full-back, Ricardo Pereira, has returned to training as he inches closer to a return.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Hermansen; Coulibaly, Faes, Okoli, Kristiansen; Ndidi, Soumare; Decordova-Reid, El Khannouss, Ayew; Vardy

Unavailable: Pereira (Injured), Fatawu (Injured)

Questionable: Justin (Injured)

Brentford Team News: Van den Berg out

Thomas Frank has confirmed that defender Sepp van den Berg will be unavailable for this weekend due to a knee injury. However, contrary to what was initially feared, the Dutchman will only be missing for 'weeks rather than months' for the visitors.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Flekken; Ajer, Collins, Pinnock, Lewis-Potter; Norgaard, Janelt; Mbeumo, Damsgaard, Schade; Wissa

Unavailable: Van den Berg (Injured), Hickey (Injured), Henry (Injured), Dasilva (Injured), Nunes (Injured), Thiago (Injured)

Questionable:

Leicester vs Brentford Prediction

Ruud van Nistelrooy has reportedly been under pressure in the last couple of months as Leicester try and push themselves away from the bottom three. They started his tenure brightly but an extremely poor winter transfer window has combined with poor performances and results to suggest Van Nistelrooy may not be at the King Power for a long time. They face a Brentford side that will put aside all of the narrative of the hosts and focus on themselves with some key attackers capable of hitting anyone on the counter-attack – and even capable of simply dominating a game. This is a poor side against a flexible and varied, competent side and so backing an away win is the way to go for this one.
