Torino preview: Inconsistent start
Torino come into this one on the back of a 2-1 defeat to Fiorentina at the Artemio Franchi last weekend as they came from behind in the second half, courtesy of late goals scored by Rolando Mandragora and Che Adams.
Torino needed that victory after they had started the season with a defeat to Monza in the Coppa Italia after losses to AC Milan and Sassuolo to kick off their 2026-27 Serie A campaign.
Roma preview: Rampant Romans
Gian Piero Gasperini and his Roma side have been exceptionally impressive at the start of this season with the Giallorossi earning three wins from three thus far, scoring ten goals in the process.
The Romans now come into this one on the back of a 1-1 draw with Fenerbahce to kick off their league phase campaign in the UEFA Champions League with Archie Brown cancelling out Bryan Cristante’s first half opener.
Torino team news: Couple of doubts
Torino are dealing with a couple of injury doubts for this weekend with Equatorial Guinea international defender Saul Coco now dealing with a knee issue.

Reported Chelsea target and France international defensive midfielder Manu Kone was forced off against Fenerbahce the other day and so he is now a doubt for this one.

Torino vs Roma prediction
Last season, Roma edged their way to a third place finish and UEFA Champions League qualification but they appeared to have developed into a more classic Gian Piero Gasperini style with far more attacking proactivity, as shown by back-to-back 4-0 wins to start the season against Fiorentina and Lecce. Torino earned themselves a win last week but that inflicted the sack on Fiorentina boss Fabio Grosso, highlighting the fact it may not have been the best or most stable opposition and so a Roma win is the likeliest outcome for this one in Turin.
