Eastleigh vs Shrewsbury prediction

Matt Gray and his Eastleigh side reached the National League play-offs last season but they sit as low as 17th this time around after a frustrating 1-1 draw with Barrow at the weekend. In the FA Cup, they had to come from 2-0 down early on to get past Brentwood Town by three goals to two in the fourth qualifying round.

With a young squad, Shrewsbury Town are again struggling for consistency in League Two. Salop succumbed to a 2-1 defeat at home to Gillingham in their most recent outing to end what was a four-match unbeaten run of form across all competitions as they sit in the bottom half of the fourth-tier.

Shrewsbury are hardly a convincing outfit as they head down to Hampshire but they remain favourites against a similarly inconsistent Eastleigh side.
