Leeds United have enjoyed an excellent run of form in the last couple of months as the expected strugglers now welcome a similarly in form Fulham side to Elland Road.

Leeds preview: In-form Leeds

Daniel Farke was under pressure at Leeds United from the start of this season but the former Norwich City boss is overseeing an impressive run of form that is pushing them and inching them further away from the bottom three and the relegation places.

The Yorkshire based outfit come into this one on the back of a come from behind 3-1 defeat of Derby County at Pride Park in the FA Cup third round last weekend, meaning they have suffered just one defeat in their last nine matches across all competitions.

Fulham preview: In-form Fulham

Marco Silva had been under a bit of pressure, if reports were to be believed, in the autumn, but, with his contract at Craven Cottage up in the summer, the Portuguese is now enjoying an impressive recent run of form as they push into the top-half.

The Cottagers also came from behind last week as they defeated Middlesbrough in the cup last weekend, continuing their own excellent form, extending their current unbeaten run of form to six matches, with just one loss in their last eight games.

Leeds team news: Defenders returning

Leeds United have been dealing with plenty of issues defensively, in terms of injuries, but they are expected to get some players back, albeit Daniel James is a confirmed absentee.

His compatriot, Joe Rodon, is now expected to be available alongside fellow centre-back Sebastiaan Bornauw and full-backs Jayden Bogle and Gabriel Gudmundsson.

Predicted XI (3-4-1-2): Perri; Rodon, Bijol, Struijk; Justin, Tanaka, Ampadu, Gudmundsson; Aaronson; Okafor, Calvert-Lewin

Unavailable: James (Injured)

Questionable: Bornauw (Injured), Rodon (Injured), Bogle (Injured), Gudmundsson (Injured)

Fulham team news: AFCON absentees

Despite losing their semi-final at the CAF Africa Cup of Nations to Morocco, Nigeria still have a third place playoff to play and so Fulham remain without Calvin Bassey, Alex Iwobi and Samu Chukwueze.

Attacking midfielder Josh King has returned to training late this week and so could be available but both Kenny Tete and Rodrigo Muniz remain confirmed absentees.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Leno; Diop, Andersen, Cuenca; Castagne, Lukic, Berge, Robinson; Wilson, Smith Rowe; Jimenez

Unavailable: Bassey (International duty), Tete (Injured), Iwobi (International duty), Chukwueze (Injured), Muniz (Injured)

Questionable: King (Fitness)

Leeds vs Fulham prediction

Daniel Farke has switched the system at Leeds and it is definitely helping them. They appear more controlled at the back but also able to be a lot more potent and threatening when in attack. Fulham will head to Elland Road seeking to exploit the hosts potential over excitement from having home advantage and confidence at home and it should lead to quite a fun watch for the neutral in Yorkshire.

Leeds vs Fulham tip: Both teams to score
