Lecce preview: Reasonable form
Under the management of former Roma boss Eusebio Di Francesco, Lecce have started the 2025/26 Serie A campaign with two victories, three draws and five defeats thus far as they push away from the bottom three and the relegation places.
The home team come into this one on the back of a 1-0 victory over rock-bottom underperformers Fiorentina at Stadio Artemio Franchi, courtesy of a 23rd minute winner scored by Mergim Berisha.
Hellas Verona preview: Struggling Verona
The pressure is growing on former Empoli boss Paolo Zanetti, especially after Hellas Verona finished the summer transfer window with some impressive signings, and they remain winless with five draws and five defeats thus far.
The visitors most recently suffered a 2-1 loss to title challenging Internazionale at Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi last weekend with Verona gutted by a Martin Frese own goal in second-half stoppage-time losing the game for the hosts.
Lecce team news: Pierret a doubt
Lecce key man Balthazar Pierret is now a doubt for the hosts alongside both Matias Perez and Filip Marchwinski, whilst both Gaby Jean and Hamza Rafia are sidelined.
Predicted XI (4-3-3): Falcone; Veiga, Gaspar, Tiago Gabriel, Gallo; Coulibaly, Ramadani, Berisha; Banda, Stulic, Tete Morente
Unavailable: Jean (Injured), Rafia (Injured)
Questionable: Matias Perez (Injured), Pierret (Injured), Marchwinski (Injured)
Hellas Verona team news: Several doubts
Verona are dealing with several injury doubts for this one as former Elche man Yellu Santiago is now potentially sidelined alongside Unai Nunez, Suat Serdar, Daniel Oyegoke and Al Musrati.
Predicted XI (3-5-2): Montipo; Bella-Kotchap, Nelsson, Frese; Belghali, Akpa-Akpro, Gagliardini, Bernede, Bradaric; Giovane, Orban
Unavailable: Suslov (Injured)
Questionable: Unai Nunez (Injured), Al Musrati (Injured), Oyegoke (Injured), Serdar (Injured), Yellu Santiago (Injured)
Lecce vs Hellas Verona prediction
These are two of the most limited sides in Serie A. Lecce have struggled for the last few seasons and appointing Di Francesco, who has overseen recent relegations for both Frosinone and Venezia, seemed a surprising move. However, they are becoming difficult to beat and the same can be said for Verona, hence five draws and they will believe it should be six after last week, and so a low-scoring encounter is to be expected at Stadio Comunale Via del Mare.
Lecce vs Hellas Verona tip: Under 2.5 goals
