Le Havre preview: Mid-table Le Havre

Under the management of former Middlesbrough midfielder Didier Digard, Le Havre have managed to stave off relegation in the last couple of seasons with an impressive and entertaining style of football.

The home team come into this one, though, on the back of a more solid approach with a goalless draw against Toulouse last weekend, leaving them in mid-table with three victories and four draws in their opening 11 matches.

Nantes preview: Woeful week

Following the appointment of Luis Castro over the summer, replacing Antoine Kombouare, Nantes were always expected to struggle but performances were reasonable, albeit results have been consistently poor.

They then put in a poor performance last weekend and the Canaries succumbed to a 2-0 defeat at home to a newly-promoted Metz side that were and do remain rock-bottom in Ligue 1.

Le Havre team news: Samatta a doubt

Former Aston Villa striker, Tanzania international Mbwana Samatta remains a doubt for Le Havre this weekend as he deals with a thigh injury for this one.

Predicted XI (4-1-3-2): Diaw; Nego, Lloris, Sangante, Zouaoui; Seko; Kechta, Ndiaye, Toure; Mambimbi, Soumare

Unavailable:

Questionable: Samatta (Injured)

Nantes team news: Several doubts

Nantes are dealing with several injury doubts for this weekend as former Portugal international goalkeeper Antony Lopes now deals with a hip injury for this one.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Carlgren; Kelvin Amian, Awaziem, Tati, Cozza; Mwanga, Leroux, Tabibou; Guirassy, El Arabi, Abline

Unavailable: Coquelin (Injured)

Questionable: Lopes (Injured), Lahdo (Injured), Lepenant (Injured), Hong (Injured)

Le Havre vs Nantes prediction

Le Havre are generally a proactive side and will seek to get on the front foot once again this weekend. Nantes are a very limited team and that is beginning to show, despite some improvements under the management of Luis Castro towards the start of the campaign. That has now subsided and Le Havre would have to be viewed as the firm favourites for this one, with their home advantage.

Le Havre vs Nantes tip: Double chance – Le Havre to win or draw
