Laslo Djere vs Juan Manuel Cerundolo prediction

Injuries and inconsistency have plagued Laslo Djere over the last couple of years, but the Serb warmed up for this event by winning a Challenger event in Portugal - his first title on either the ATP or Challenger circuit for over a year.

The 30-year-old is most comfortable on clay, with all three of his ATP titles coming on the surface, and he will be keen to build on his Portugal success in Geneva.

Also a specialist on the red dirt, Juan Manuel Cerundolo likewise experienced Challenger Tour success this week, with the 24-year-old Argentinian going all the way in Bordeaux.

Cerundolo is at a career high of 54 in the world and his career trajectory is certainly heading in the right direction.

This is a tough one to call between two players coming off a morale-boosting Challenger title, but Cerundolo has been the more consistent operator over the last year or so, so he gets the nod here.
