Coached by former Austria boss Franco Foda, the Kosovans boast an impressive squad that consists of Arijanet Muric, Mergim Vojvoda, Edon Zhegrova, Leon Avdullahu, Milor Rashica, Fisnik Asllani and Vedat Muriqi – and they look to be a strong and improving side.
The Republic of Ireland did defeat Hungary in November 2025 to reach the UEFA play-offs for the FIFA World Cup before losing to Czechia on penalties under the management of Heimur Hallgrimsson.
Like Kosovo, Ireland have an improving and emerging squad but the Kosovans, beaten 1-0 by Turkiye in a play-off final for the FIFA World Cup, appear further along in their progress and will fancy themselves for a scalp in Pristina here.
