It's not been the best couple of months for Jenson Brooksby, who enters the main draw in Geneva off the back of a five-game losing streak, with his last victory coming in Indian Wells at the beginning of March.
On his day, the American is a proficient operator on all surfaces, but his game just simply isn't clicking right now as he slides down the rankings.
His best hope here is that Casper Ruud is suffering from fatigue after making it to the final of the Italian Open, where he lost to Jannik Sinner on Sunday.
The Norwegian is one of the fitter players on tour though, and is also a three-time champion in Geneva having gone all the way in 2021, 2022 and 2024.
