Jakub Mensik vs Jurij Rodionov prediction

Jurij Rodionov made a statement in round one after beating the likes of Great Britain’s Jacob Fearnley on his way to the main draw. Against Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, Rodionov clutched up in two tie-breakers, sandwiched inbetween a blowout second set as the Austrian reached the second round at Queens for the first time in his career. It was also the first time Rodionov has made it to the second round of a Grand Slam men’s singles tournament since 2020 at Roland-Garros.

Mensik is the favourite and a seeded player, but this represents a significant banana-skin for him. He has played good tennis though leading up to this competition and was impressive across his straight sets round one victory. Expect him to come through this one, but back the contest to last longer than three sets.
