Ruben Amorim steps into the Man Utd hotseat for the first time as the Red Devils take on promoted side Ipswich at Portman Road on Sunday.

How to watch on TV: UK – Sky Sports / US – USA Network

Ipswich Preview: First win

Ipswich's first Premier League win of the season was a somewhat unexpected one as they claimed an excellent 1-2 away win at Tottenham, Sammie Szmodics and Liam Delap striking in the first half for the Tractor Boys, who held off Spurs' second-half onslaught.

Registering their first home win of the league campaign will be a priority for Kieran McKenna, but it will be a tough ask for them in this fixture against an opponent who will be fired up to put in a performance in front of their new manager.

Man Utd Preview: New era

All eyes will be on Man Utd on Sunday in what will be Ruben Amorim's first game in charge of the club, and there is a real sense of optimism that the former Sporting Lisbon boss can kick-start a return to the elite level for the Premier League giants.

Amorim opted against offering interim boss Ruud van Nistelrooy a role at the club with the former Red Devils striker having overseen three wins and a draw in all competitions since Erik ten Hag's dismissal at the end of October.

Ipswich Team News: Greaves & Taylor could make it

A knee problem will keep George Hirst out for at least a few weeks, but Jacob Graves and Jack Taylor are back in training and could be involved if McKenna deems them ready.

Omari Hutchinson may have to play through the pain barrier due to a bruise on his foot, while Kalvin Phillips could miss out if he doesn't pass a late fitness test.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Muric; Tuanzebe, O'Shea, Greaves, Davis; Morsy, Phillips; Johnson, Hutchinson, Szmodics; Delap

Unavailable: Hirst (Injured), Ogbene (Injured)

Questionable: Greaves (Fitness), Donacien (Injured), Phillips (Injured), Taylor (Fitness), Hutchinson (Injured)

Man Utd Team News: Back three?

There was little in the way of team news in Amorim's first pre-match press conference, but Leny Yoro, Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia and Casemiro were all spotted in training, while Victor Lindelof and Lisandro Martinez suffered injuries over the international break and are doubtful.

There is much debate about whether Amorim will implement his favoured three-at-the-back system with immediate effect, but that may largely depend on what personnel he has available.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Onana; De Ligt, Casemiro, Evans; Dalot, Ugarte, Mainoo, Mazraoui; Diallo, Fernandes; Hojlund

Unavailable: Maguire (Injured)

Questionable: Yoro (Fitness), Lindelof (Injured), Martinez (Injured), Shaw (Fitness), Malacia (Fitness), Mainoo (Fitness), Casemiro (Fitness)

Ipswich vs Man Utd Prediction

No team will want to face Man Utd in their opening fixture under Ruben Amorim, but that is the unenviable task facing Ipswich on Sunday. The hosts will hope to spoil the party in a similar manner to how they claimed the scalp of Spurs last time out, but in all likelihood they will fall victim to the fabled 'new manager bounce'.

With United players keen to impress the new boss, expect a fast start from the visitors in what Red Devils fans hope will be the start of a new era.
