Inter Milan preview: Impressive Inter

Many people have written Internazionale off for this season after a woeful end to last year, culminating in a 5-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League final, before Simone Inzaghi left and was replaced by Cristian Chivu in the summer.

However, they want to prove people wrong and they started well with a 5-0 demolition of Torino at San Siro last weekend, courtesy of a brace from Marcus Thuram as well as goals scored by Alessandro Bastoni, Lautaro Martinez and Ange-Yvan Bonny.

Udinese preview: Loss of attackers

Udinese are expected to struggle this season with the Pozzo family seemingly turning their primary focus back to Watford with several key men leaving Friuli over the summer, such as Florian Thauvin and Lorenzo Lucca in attack.

After a comfortable 2-0 defeat of Carrarese in the first round of the Coppa Italia a couple of weeks ago, Udinese then shared a 1-1 draw with likely fellow strugglers Hellas Verona at the Marcantonio Bentegodi on the opening day of the Serie A season.

Inter Milan team news: No need to change

Iran international striker Mehdi Taremi has been linked with a move away this summer, and he has missed the start of this season due to injury and remains sidelined.

Predicted XI (3-5-2): Sommer; Pavard, Acerbi, Bastoni; Dumfries, Sucic, Barella, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Thuram, Lautaro Martinez

Unavailable: Taremi (Injured)

Questionable:

Udinese team news: Okoye suspended

As well as the attacking departures, Alexis Sanchez is now also missing through injury, whilst goalkeeper Maduka Okoye is missing through suspension for the visitors.

Predicted XI (3-5-2): Sava; Betola, Kristensen, Solet; Ehizibue, Lovric, Karlstrom, Atta, Zemura; Davis, Iker Bravo

Unavailable: Okoye (Suspended), Sanchez (Injured)

Questionable:

Inter Milan vs Udinese prediction

It was an extremely impressive start to the season for Inter and there is a feeling that the experienced players that they have are in a mood of wanting to prove some doubters wrong. Udinese lack any real attacking quality and threat at the moment, and the Friulians are expected to struggle throughout the campaign. A comfortable Inter victory, especially at home once again, would seem a good bet.
