Neither of these two clubs finished inside the top six last season but for Inter Kashi, it was a positive first campaign in the Indian Super League since being promoted. They’ll now want to kick on after ending in tenth-place with more wins no order the main order of business. But offensively, they did struggle as only the bottom two scored less goals.
If Kerala Blasters sets themselves up well defensively, this should prove a difficult assignment for the hosts, who also need to guard against the threat of a counter-attack. Neither team will want to start the new season with a loss and that could lead to a fairly cautious affair with little risk taken on both sides. With that in mind, it’s worth backing under 2.5 goals to be scored across the 90 minutes.
