Hungary vs Ukraine prediction
Hungary were knocked out of FIFA World Cup qualification with a dramatic 3-2 loss to the Republic of Ireland in November. The Hungarians have since beaten Slovenia, Finland and Kazakhstan as well as drawing with Greece.
Ukraine are now under the management of Roberto De Zerbi’s former assistant coach at Brighton and Hove Albion and Olympique de Marseille Andrea Maldera after he spent five years as Ukraine assistant coach to Andriy Shevchenko between 2016 and 2021.
Ukraine will believe they can regain their form from the late-2010s but Hungary do have the benefit of home advantage so both teams scoring would appear a decent bet.
