Key stats

  • Belarus have lost their last seven World Cup qualifying matches. Since a 4-2 victory at home against Estonia in March 2021.

Greece vs Belarus prediction

Greece only just finished second in their UEFA Nations League League B group behind an England side that they beat at Wembley Stadium last month. The Greeks then did get promoted with a hammering of Scotland in March, and they will be expected to attack this FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign well with a very strong and exciting squad.

They face a Belarus side that have been declining for quite some time, especially as a result of not being able to play at home as a result of the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. The Belarusians most recently finished third in League C Group 3 of the 2024/25 UEFA Nations League.

This appears to be a bit of a mis-match really and Greece, with their continued improvement and development of late, are firm favourites for this one in Athens.

Greece vs Belarus tip: Greece to win -1 handicap
