During his time at Manchester United, Scott McTominay was often viewed as a defensive midfielder despite showing real quality in the final third as a ‘clutch player’ for Scotland in qualification for UEFA EURO 2024. That summer then saw him move to Napoli where he has since become a world class talent that was awarded Serie A’s Most Valuable Player as the Neapolitans won the 2024/25 Serie A title, while also receiving a nomination for the Ballon d’Or. The Lancaster-born Scotsman has kept up a reasonable rate of scoring for the Scots and he will again be key for The Tartan Army this summer.
