The unfortunate injury sustained by Napoli midfielder Billy Gilmour opens things up for Steve Clarke and Lewis Ferguson, who may have already been in their first-choice eleven, will now get an opportunity to cement himself as a star man for the Scots this summer. The Bologna midfielder has been key for the Italians in recent years, helping them qualify for the UEFA Champions League in 2024 and then to win the Coppa Italia in 2025 as well as a UEFA Europa League qualification in the same season. Injury ruled him out of UEFA EURO 2024 but he now gets an opportunity to make a statement in North America.
