France vs Iceland prediction

At the neutral venue of Wroclaw in Poland the other day, France managed to ease to a comfortable 2-0 defeat of what does appear to be a strong Ukrainian side, courtesy of goals from Michael Olise and Kylian Mbappe. The French have been underwhelming for quite a while, but they look to be kicking on.

They now face an Iceland side that come into this one on the back of a 5-0 demolition of Azerbaijan. The Icelanders have a newer and improving younger generation coming through, with one of the stars of it, Albert Gudmundsson, notching alongside an Isak Bergmann Johannesson brace as well as Kristian Hlynsson and Victor Palsson goals.

Iceland have been frustrating in the last 12-18 months or so, but the French will have to be the firm favourites for what could end up being a high-scoring encounter.

France vs Iceland tip: France to win & over 2.5 goals
