Everton preview: Solid start for the Toffees
David Moyes is back in charge of the new era at Everton and the Toffees were left frustrated on the opening day of the season but, with Jack Grealish at the heart of it, things have turned around are beginning to look exciting this season.
They defeated Brighton and Hove Albion by two goals to nil before breezing past Mansfield Town in the EFL Cup, and they then produced an entertaining performance to defeat Wolverhampton Wanderers by three goals to two at Molineux.
Aston Villa preview: Fresh energy for the Villains
Since they last played, Unai Emery and his Aston Villa side have been boosted by the loan additions of Harvey Elliott and Jadon Sancho from Liverpool and Manchester United respectively, as well as the signing of Victor Lindelof at centre-back.
That freshness is required because Villa are yet to score in the Premier League this season, with a goalless draw on the opening day against Newcastle United being followed by a 1-0 loss to Brentford and then a 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace.

Everton vs Aston Villa prediction
The aforementioned revival of Grealish is combing with the fact that Everton now have a very entertaining squad for the neutral that also boasts the likes of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Iliman Ndiaye, as well as Tyler Dibling. Back at home and against seemingly now vulnerable opposition, they will want to get on the front foot but for probabilities’ sake, Villa are likely to eventually get themselves on the scoresheet and Unai Emery should always be backed to find solutions to problems, and that should lead to quite a fun watch for the neutral on Merseyside this weekend.
