England vs Netherlands prediction
England are the defending champions and they reached the final of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, but the Lionesses have been underwhelming and declining in the last 18 months or so. That drop in their level was on show the other day as they suffered a 2-1 loss to France.
They now face a Netherlands side that have a star studded and impressive squad, and that was on shown in their opener as they waltzed past Wales by three goals to nil. Vivianne Miedema opened the scoring in first-half stoppage-time before second-half strikes by Victoria Pelova and Esmee Brugts.
England are the classic archetypal international side that have been atop the mountain and are now on the way down, and a Dutch win that could seal their exit is good value.
