Ecuador vs New Zealand prediction

Ecuador, with some excellent players coming through the ranks and littered across their squad, come into this one on the back of a goalless draw with Canada in their most recent outing, the other day. That means the Ecuadorians are unbeaten in their last 14 matches. Quite astonishingly, seven of those 14 games have finished 0-0.

They now face a New Zealand side that, under the management of Darren Bazeley, most recently suffered a 2-1 loss to Colombia the other day, which followed on from a five-match winless run of form since confirming qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup by defeating New Caledonia in the final of OFC qualifying.

New Zealand will be expected to try and be competitive and defensive against the Ecuadorians, and that should lead to yet another low-scoring encounter.

Ecuador vs New Zealand tip: Ecuador to win & under 3.5 goals
