Denmark vs Sweden prediction

Coached by Andree Jeglertz, the Danish national women’s team are currently ranked 12th in the world by FIFA. The nicknamed ‘Red and White’ finished as runners up to world champions and tournament favourites Spain in their qualifying group, winning four of six games and only losing to Spain.

They face a Sweden side that have notable names throughout their squad, such as captain Magdalena Eriksson and vice-captain Linda Sembrant, as well as the likes of Stina Blackstenius and Fridolina Rolfo, although the ;atter is carrying an injury at present. They qualified for the tournament with victories against Luxembourg and Sweden in the playoffs.

It was a major surprise for Sweden, ranked number one in the world in 2023, to miss out on automatic qualification, but they were in a tough group and they are the favourites for this opener against their local rivals.
