DC United vs Inter Miami Prediction

DC United begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting rock-bottom in the Eastern Conference with just four victories in their 27 matches so far this season. The hosts most recently shared a goalless draw with Montreal in Canada last week to extend their winless run of form to 11 matches across all competitions.

They now face an Inter Miami side that, captained by Lionel Messi and coached by Javier Mascherano, are sitting fifth in the Eastern Conference, seven points adrift of league leaders Cincinnati but with three games in hand. The Floridians most recently defeated Tigres UANL in the quarter-finals of the Leagues Cup by two goals to one thanks to a Luis Suarez penalty brace. With that semi-final coming up, against Orlando City, their focus could be shifted away from the league, with Messi also carrying an injury and likely to miss out.

DC United will believe they can be stubborn here, as a result, but they are a poor side, and Inter Miami will be expected to win this one with relative ease in Washington DC, even with their upcoming distractions.

DC United vs Inter Miami Tip: Inter Miami to win to nil
